April 2011 Volunteer of the Month

TRUDY KLUS is our "Volunteer of the Month" for April 2011! A resident of Manchester, PA, Trudy has been working with horses for over 50 years. Leg Up Farm has provided her with a place to combine her love for horses with her desire to help children with disabilities. In return, Trudy has donated her tireless hands and immense passion to the farm.

In February, Trudy began preparing the barn for the therapeutic riding program. She has groomed, fed and turned out our herd of horses, in addition to mucking stalls and cleaning and inspecting tack.

In her spare time at home, Trudy creates beautiful pocket-sized notebooks made of woven yarn. She has donated them to the farm to be sold as a fundraiser. Trudy has gone above and beyond her duties as a volunteer at Leg Up Farm, and for that we are deeply appreciative.

Thank you, again to TRUDY KLUS for her dedication to Leg Up Farm!
