The Matthew Allen Potter Memorial Golf Tournament and Silent Auction event was started after the tragic death
of Matthew at the York Fair on September 10, 2001. Matthew was only 7 years old at the time. The family and
friends of Matthew organized this charity event to honor the life of young Matthew and give back to their
community. They chose Leg Up Farm to be the beneficiary of this annual charity event.
