Jess has been a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist at Leg Up Farm since 2011. She maintains certifications through PATH Intl. as a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL). She is also a certified EAGALA Equine Specialist with Military Designation. Jess's areas of focus include working with trauma survivors, veterans, first responders, LGBTQ+ individuals, non-speaking individuals and those with auditory-related diagnoses, as well as intermediate and advanced equestrians returning to riding following a fall, surgery, or injury.
In addition to her direct service work, Jess serves as a PATH Intl. mentor for individuals pursuing CTRI and ESMHL certification. She is committed to providing a trauma-informed approach both in and out of the saddle, creating safe and supportive environments for participants to learn, heal, and grow.
