Individual Volunteer Opportunities

Interested volunteers must complete an application and background checks. Results of background checks and completion of forms must be received before being allowed to volunteer. All volunteers receive training prior to beginning volunteer assignment.

Junior Volunteer

Junior volunteers are volunteers who are between ages 14-15. Junior volunteers will assist with several tasks including cleaning stalls, sweeping floors, wiping structural surfaces, scrubbing buckets, and using a wheelbarrow. Junior volunteers may be given more tasks based on prior equine experience.

Equine Therapy

Equine therapy volunteers assist with therapeutic riding lessons, summer camps, schools groups and horse show team. Equine Department volunteers should be able to walk/jog for 30 minutes and lift items weighing more than 25 pounds. Equine therapy roles are only open to volunteers age 16 and older.

Barn Work

Barn work volunteers assist with several daily tasks including, but not limited to, feeding animals, turning horses in and out, basic animal care, cleaning stalls, sweeping floors, wiping structural surfaces, scrubbing buckets and using a wheelbarrow.
